They may wield weapons familiar to Psionicists, and all manner of swords, axes, and the occasional "Wrist Razor"(Dark Sun). A great majority of these weapons will be made of Psionically molded bone, often imbued with strange psionic powers of their own. For protection, all Dystrak wear a form of bone platemail, also molded by their minds, and sometimes bearing powers. Dystrak tend to shun metal armor as it restricts their metal powers. All Dystrak start with the Telepathy Discipline and another of their choosing, gaining new disciplines at 6th and 10th level/HD. All Dystrak have a 10% chance of additional Wild Talents(adding the usual PSP bonus foe having those as well!), increasing as per the parentheses given in the table below. They gain Sciences evry other level/HD(odd numbers). PSP levels are as follows: 3rd:61(10%) 4th:78(11%) 5th:91(12%) 6th:113(15%) 7th:129(17%) 8th:154(20%) 9th:174(23%) 10th+:213(26%) (+14 PSP/HD or lvl beyond 10th) Defense Modes start at 2, gaining 1 per two addtitional HD or lvl). Any Dystrak who manifests a Wild Talent gains PSPs as if the talent were present at 1st lvl/HD! This is known as the "Awakening", an event of great importance to all Dystrak. Those who have experinced this are revered among the Dystrak, and all thier needs are met by their Clan. In return, most use their newfound power to help thier Clan in whatever way they can. Members of this race who have the wild talents are identified by an addtion to their name, "... the Awakened". Any Dystrak encountered with 14HD is a King or Queen, skilled in the art of Metapsionics. They commonly employ powerstone PSP recepticles, vastly increasing their PSP reserves... The Dystraks are called by their chosesn speciality: "Seers" work in Clairsentience (Led by "Mystics", higher lvl/HD Seers) "Warriors" use Psychokinesis (Led by "Knights", higher lvl/HD Warriors) "Healers" ues Psychometabolics (Led by "Bishops", higher lvl/HD Healers) "Travellers" using Psychoportation (Led by "Chargers", higher lvl/HD Travellers) "Leaders" using Metapsioncs (Led by "Princes/Princesses", high lvl Leaders) All Dystak have the option of creating an unlimited (both in range, and duration)Mindlink with another Dystrak(by paying the initial cost in PSPs). This is a serious and very personal matter, called "Bonding". It is extremely likely that all family members share the Bonding, so long range communications are maintained at all times. Only something which the DM feels would break the Bond may do so, including those Dystrak who choose to break the Bonding. In this way, killing even one Dystrak will certainly alert any others who might share the Bonding, making surviving enemies of the Dystrak extremely few, if any. The Dystrak have gone to great pains to endear themselves to the Spacewhales, called Kindori. As the Dystrak have been defending the Kindori, even at the cost of their own lives, woe be to those foolish enough to harm any Dystrak whilst an allied Kindori is near. This activity has been part of Dystrak culture for as long as any of them can remember. The Kindori are viewed as family members, whalers beware...
